Cornbread Sausage Stuffing with Apples

From the Silver Palette Cookbook - now a classic cookbook.

Be careful with bringing this to family gatherings as it might obligate you for future gettogethers for life.

We use a mild Turkey Sausage (whole Foods makes an excellent one) and we no longer stuff the bird.

For the Apples we usually use Pippins.

We always make the cornbread (a day ahead) from the recipe that is on the Corn meal box.  Don't use Corn bread mix as there is no time savings and you'll pay for it in reduced quality.  Chop up the bread a day ahead and let it go a little stale.
